Arben Ristani, kreu aktual i Komisionit Qendror të Zgjedhjeve, deklaron largimin nga institucioni me mbarimin e mandatit pas datës 25 shtator,dhe nuk ka me ambicie për këtë post. Në një interviste ekskluzive për "Vizion Plus", anëtari i KQZ që nga korriku i 2006-ës, dhe më pas kryetar i saj, që nga shkurti 2009 , ka treguar se nuk ka me interes te menaxhoje proceset zgjedhore, por po sheh te tjera drejtime. Ristani i cilëson si te rëndësishme zgjedhjet, që vijnë e për administrim e tyre sipas tij, kryetari i KQZ, duhet te jete një person me përvoje, mundësisht nga radhët e institucionit. Madje disa prej anëtareve kane nisur edhe takimet me drejtues politike, vetëm një ditë pas shpalljes se procedurave nga Kuvendi. Zgjedhjet e 2011 kanë qenë për Ristanin momenti me i vështire, për te cilat, opozita e quajti kreun e KQZ-se, vegël ne duart e pushtetit. Për këtë Ristani mbrohet me raportin e ODHIR, qe sipas tij i klasifikoi zgjedhjet si transparente. Në intervisten e tij pak dite para lenies se detyres,Ristani I quan suksese konsideratat e raporteve te ODHIR per zgjedhjet parlamentare te 2009 dhe ato te marra nga kuvendi i Shqipërise.
