Presidentja e Kosovës Atifete Jahjaga ka bere te qarte se pavarësisht debatit mes partive politike ajo nuk nder mend te japë dorëheqjen. Ne një interviste për Radion Europa e Lire, Jahjaga ka deklaruar se:
"Asnjëherë nuk është paraparë dorëheqja e presidentit të vendit dhe mua nuk më lejohet të jap dorëheqje, sepse kjo do të nënkuptonte procedurë tjetër të zgjedhjeve dhe ushtrues detyre të presidentit të vendit". Ndërkaq duke iu referuar dialogut mes Kosovës dhe Serbisë Jahjaga ka theksuar se republika e Kosovës është vendos marrëdhënie me të gjitha shtetet tjera si subjekt ndërkombëtar dhe i barabartë. Sipas presidentes kosovare marrëdhëniet mes Prishtinës dhe Beogradit si dy shtete fqinj duhen normalizuar.
Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga has made it clear that despite the debate between political parties that do not intend to resign. In an interview with Radio Free Europe, Jahjaga stated that:
"It is never provided for the resignation of the President, and I am not allowed to resign, because it would mean another election procedure and acting president of the country." While referring to the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia Jahjaga said that the Republic of Kosovo establishes a relationship with all other states and equitable international entity. According to Kosovar president relations between Pristina and Belgrade as two neighboring countries should be normalized.
