Te gjitha kafshët e gjalla qe importohen ne Shqipëri te certifikuara për t`u therur duhet ta mbyllin këtë proces brenda 72 orëve. Ky është urdhri me i fundit i ministrisë se bujqësisë, pas kontrolleve ku janë kapur subjekte qe fusnin ne Shqipëri kafshe për tu therur e ne fakt i përdornin për mbarështim. Specialistet e autoritetit kombëtar te ushqimit pohojnë se ky ndryshim destinacioni është i paligjshëm, pasi certifikata qe i shoqëron këto kafshe nga vendet e origjinës nuk e lejon rritjen e tyre. Por mishi qe importohet ne Shqipëri, nuk vjen vetëm ne formën e kafshëve te gjalla, por edhe i therur. Përgjithësisht ky mish përdoret për prodhimin e sallamit, por specialistet kane këtë apel për konsumatoret. Ne vendin tone gjashte muajt e pare te këtij viti janë importuar 33 mije ton derra dhe vica te gjalle për therje. Ndërkohë për vitin 2011 janë importuar rreth 117 mije ton mish.
