Bashkëpunimi institucional ne Shqipëri duhet te jete me i forte ne mënyrë qe te marrim statusin e vendit kandidat. Mesazhi vjen nga Presidenti i Republikës ne largim, Bamir Topi, i cili po zhvillon ne Kosove një vizite dy ditore. Pas takimit me homologen kosovare Jahjaga, zoti Topi tha se palët ne Shqipëri duhet te bashkëpunojnë për realizimin e reformave. Presidenti Topi tha se ne bilancin qe i ka bere punës se tij gjate këtij mandati 5-vjeçar, nuk ka asnjë rast te vetëm antikushtetues. Jahjaga vlerësoi lart rolin e Presidentit shqiptar Topi ne lobimin për Kosovën jashtë vendit. E pyetur për qeverinë e re te Serbisë, me ne krye pasuesin e Millosheviçit, Ivica Daçiç, Jahjaga tha se kjo ishte zgjedhje e Serbisë, por nënvizoi se nuk ka me kthim prapa dhe Kosova është shtet sovran. Kreu i shtetit mori pjese edhe ne seancën solemne te Kuvendit te Kosovës, ku vlerësoi arritjet e Kosovës ne këto vite pavarësi, si dhe rolin e saj si faktor stabiliteti ne rajon.
Institutional cooperation in Albania should be stronger in order to obtain candidate status. The message comes from the outgoing President of the Republic, Bamir Topi, who is also developing a two-day Kosovo.
