Pas takimit me liderin e opozitës Edi Rama, kryeministri i Belgjikës Elio Di Rupo ka paralajmëruar klasën politike shqiptare te zbatoje 12 rekomandimet për te marre statusin e vendit kandidat. Sipas kryeministrit belg te hysh ne BE nuk është njësoj si te besh një shëtitje ne pyll pasi ka kushte qe duhen plotësuar. "Te anëtarësohesh ne Bashkimin Europian nuk është njësoj sikur del për të shëtitur në pyll. Ka kushte, dhe këto kushte kërkojnë të kesh respekt për të gjitha rregullat themelore të transparencës, të demokracisë, të pavarësisë së gjyqësorit dhe të faktit, që parlamenti duhet të jetë vendi ku qeveria kontrollohet. Pra e përsëris se në be nuk futesh njësoj si të bësh një shëtitje në lëndinë". Ndërkohe qe kryesocialisti Edi Rama ka përsëritur se zgjedhja e presidentit pakësoi mundësitë e Shqipërisë për te marre statusin e kandidatit; por qeveria po e përkeqëson situatën duke mos dhënë kompromis për reformat. Gjate vizitës ne Bruksel Edi Rama zhvilloi takime edhe me drejtorin për zgjerimin ne KE Stefano Sanino si dhe me Presidentin e parlamentit evropian Martin Shulc.
After meeting with opposition leader Edi Rama, Belgian Prime Minister Elio Di Rupo has warned the Albanian political class to implement 12 recommendations to obtain candidate status. According to the Belgian prime minister to enter the EU is not just how to make a walk in the forest because there are conditions to be met.
