Marrëveshja PD-PDIU prek edhe shëndetësinë. Me urdhër te ministrit te shëndetësisë është liruar nga detyra drejtori i qendrës se kontrollit te barnave Besnik Jakaj qe do te zëvendësohet ne këtë post nga Arif Shahini. Shahini vjen nga radhët e çameve dhe është farmacist. Ndërsa Jakaj ka pohuar se vjen nga politika dhe si i tille mund te angazhohet edhe me detyra te tjera jo ne profilin shëndetësor. Besnik Jakaj drejtoi për 4 vjet e gjysme qendrën e kontrollit te barnave, institucioni me i rëndësishëm ne këtë fushe qe kontrollon futjen dhe qarkullimin e medikamenteve ne Shqipëri. Ky institucion është përgjegjës edhe për sigurinë e ilaçeve përmes vendosje se pullës mbi ta.
