Festimet për ditën zyrtare te sezonit turistik kane pushtuar rrugët dhe sheshet. Ndërsa aktivitetet e Bashkise janë përqendruar ne Sheshin e Flamurit dhe ne zonën e plazhit te ri. Kryetari i Bashkise, Shpëtim Gjika, ka premtuar standarde ne turizëm gjate këtij viti. Ne te njëjtën dite me fillimin e sezonit turistik u çel dhe edicioni i katërt i festivalit folklorik ndërkombëtar. Për dy ore Sheshi i Flamurit u pushtua nga muzika folklorike e 10 vendeve përfaqësuese ne aktivitet. Këtë fundjave qytetare te shumte dhe familjare kane zgjedhur bregdetin e Vlorës për te pushuar por dhe për plazh.
