Ne një interviste për "Vizion Plus" nënkryetari i bashkise Edmond Panariti deklaron se do te ngrijnë te gjitha procedurat për legalizim te ndërtimeve brenda parkut, ndërkohe qe çdo ndërtese apo biznes qe nuk disponon dokumentacionin përkatës, do te prishet. Pas çlirimit nga ndërtimet pa leje parku natyror do te kaloje ne një faze tjetër atë te rehabilitimit te liqenit dhe zgjerimit te pjesës pedonale. Kjo procedure pritet te nise ne fund te verës se këtij viti. Pas miratimit ne këshillin bashkiak te statusit natyror rajonal, vendimi do te kaloje ne këshillin e qarkut, pasi një pjese e liqenit shtrihet ne komunën e Farkës. Sipas nënkryetarit Panariti rikthimi i parkut te liqenit ne identitet është parashikuar te mbyllet brenda vitit 2015.
