Oborri i brendshëm i këtij institucioni me sipërfaqe 470 metra katror, i është kthyer pronarit Vasillaq Shkurti qe ne vitin 2009. Ky fakt është mësuar nga kreu i Muzeut Historik vetëm pak kohe me pare kur propozoi investime ne territorin e brendshëm te Muzeut Historik. Avokatura e shtetit kish kërkuar shfuqizimin e vendimit te agjencisë se kthimit te pronave. Por vetëm para disa javësh ne 13 mars, kjo çështje është zgjidhur me vendim te kryeministrit. I gjithë territor ku është ngritur Muzeu Historik i ka kaluar ne pronësi ministrisë se kulturës. Drejtori Luan Malltezi teksa e cilëson shkelje te rende vendimin e AKKP, tregon se synimet për token e muzeut kane lindur pas projekteve për ndryshimin e qendrës se Tiranes. Kur tashme i është dhënë zgjidhje konfliktit te pronësisë, drejtuesit e muzeut kërkojnë investime për modernizimin e tij.
