Demokratet dhe socialistet kane rene dakord qe te ulet kufiri i moshës për te gjithë ata ish-te përndjekur politike qe do ta marrin dëmshpërblimin brenda një viti. Komisioni i ligjeve, pavarësisht kundërshtimit te Ministrisë se Drejtësisë, ka vendosur qe gratë mbi 70 vjeç dhe burrat mbi 75 vjeç do te paguhen për vitet e dënimit brenda një viti, duke rrezuar versionin e qeverise qe paratë t'iu jepeshin vetëm personave mbi 85 vjeç. Por opozita ka kundërshtuar zgjatjen e afatit te ligjit deri ne 25 tetorin e vitit 1944. Pavarësisht se demokratet pretendojnë se ne këtë date qeveria ka filluar te persekutoje shqiptaret, socialistet kane shprehur shqetësimin se nga ky ligj do te përfitojnë bashkëpunëtoret e fashizmit. Gjate diskutimit te problematikes se ish-te përndjekurve ne Komisionin e Ligjeve nuk ka munguar edhe debati politik.
