Këshilli i Evropës diskuton rekomandimin e Këshillit te Punëve te Përgjithshme për ti dhënë Serbisë "de juro" statusin e vendit kandidat për ne Bashkimin Evropian. Ne këtë takim pritet qe edhe Rumania, vend qe rezistoi ne fazën e pare te diskutimeve, duke ngritur shqetësim për vllahet, do te japë mbështetje. Kjo për shkak te presionit ndërkombëtar për te anashkaluar këtë çështje, e madje për ta injoruar fare ne publik atë. Krahas diskutimeve për statusin, çështjet qe do te preken janë votimi formal për te akorduar fondin për krizën greke. Paralelisht me diskutimet ne Këshill, ne Bruksel ndodhet edhe kryeministri Hashim Thaçi, i cili pritet te mbaje takime te ndara me shefen për Politike te Jashtme Catherine Ashton dhe eurokomisionerin Fyle. Pjese e diskutimit do te jete edhe studimi i fizibiletit për Kosovën, qe i hap rruge marrëveshjes se stabilizim-asocimit.
European Council discusses the recommendation of the General Affairs Council to give Serbia "de jure" status of candidate country for European Union. In this meeting it is expected that even Romania, a country that resisted the first phase of discussions, raising concern for Vlach, will provide support. This is due to international pressure to circumvent this issue, and even to ignore it all in public. Besides discussions on the status, issues that will be affected are formal vote of the fund allocated to the Greek crisis. In parallel with discussions in the council in Brussels is the Prime Minister Hashim Thaci, who is expected to hold separate meetings with Foreign Policy chief Catherine Ashton and eurokomisionerin Fule. Part of the discussion will be the feasibility study for Kosovo, which paves the way for the stabilization and association agreement.
