Për shkak te motit te keq qe ka mbërthyer Evropën, Shqipëria ka një muaj qe nuk importon ilaçe, pasi është i pamundur transporti i tyre ne rruge tokësore.
Megjithatë ministria e shëndetësisë ka pohuar se nuk ka vend për panik, pasi ekzistojnë rezerva medikamentesh, e ne zonat izoluara po dërgohen donacione nga kompanitë farmaceutike. Ministri i Shëndetësisë ka pohuar se vullnetaret e korpusit te paqes janë shpërndare ne zonat e bllokuara nga dëbora dhe se ministria është duke ndjekur rekomandimet e OBSH. Megjithatë gjate një konference për sistemin shëndetësor ambasadorja gjermane ka kërkuar menaxhim te kujdesshëm te situatës, sidomos ne spitalet rajonale. Ne komunat e izoluara numërohen 1 300 te sëmure kronike, për te cilët ka nisur furnizimi me paketa ilaçesh, duke evituar procedurat e rimbursimit. Me përmirësimin e motit ka nisur edhe fluturimi i helikopterëve te shëndetesise.
