Robert Elsie, albanologu i cili prej vitesh i është kushtuar studimeve mbi vendin tone sjell dy fjalorë te rëndësishëm historikë për Shqipërinë dhe Kosovën.
Te botuar me herët ne anglisht, dy librat te cilat shërbejnë si doracak për studiuesit apo studentet ne te gjithë boten anglishtfolëse janë versuar si zëvendësues se atyre botimeve qe duhet te bënte shkenca jone, shpesh e fjetur. Vete Elsie, e ka vene theksin tek vërtetësia e informacionit qe prezanton, mungesa e te cilit sipas tij ne historinë tone, na pengon te ecim para. Me shqipen e rrjedhshme Elsie ka rrëfyer gjithashtu edhe një ndodhi gjate realizimit te këtij Fjalori, konkretisht atë te Shqipërisë, pasi botuesi amerikan i kishte vene një limit prej 200 faqesh, por vepra doli me shume se kaq. Dy fjalorët, i pari me 700 zëra dhe tjetri me 400 janë promovuar ne Ministrinë e Jashtme edhe nga ministri Haxhinasto, si për te përligjur rolin e ambasadorit te kulturës dhe historisë shqiptare qe ka Robert Elsie.
Robert Elsie, a scholar who has devoted years of research on our country has two major historical dictionaries of Albania and Kosovo.
Previously published in English, two books that serve as a guide for researchers and students in all English-speaking world are versuar as a substitute that those publications that have to do our science, often sleeping. Elsie himself, has put emphasis on the authenticity of the information presented, the lack of which in his opinion in our history, to move us away before. With fluent eagle Elsie also narrated a story of realizing this glossary, namely that of Albania, after the American publisher had put a limit of 200 pages, but the work went more than that. Two dictionaries, first with 700 items and 400 are promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Minister Affairs, as to justify the role of ambassador of culture and history that has Robert Elsie.
