Krimi ka marre përmasa te frikshme ne qytetin bregdetar te Vlorës, duke goditur gjithnjë e me shume zyrtare institucionesh. Qe nga viti 2010 janë regjistruar te paktën dhjete raste shpërthimi me tritol te makinave, apo djegie te tyre, siç ishte rasti i pak ditëve me pare me mjetin privat te kryetarit te Bashkise Shpëtim Gjika. Deputetet socialiste te zonës fajësojnë qeverinë dhe kërkojnë interpelance me kryeministrin. Edhe deputetet demokrate pohojnë se krimet e sidomos mos zbardhja e tyre, stimulojnë ngjarje te tjera te renda. Prefekti i Vlorës, qe pak muaj me pare u be vete objekt sulmi i dhunes se dy qytetarëve, pranon se ngjarjet ndikojnë edhe ne dëmtimin e imazhit te zonës, ndonëse ai del ne mbrojtje te punës se policisë dhe organeve te drejtësisë. Nga këto ngjarje te renda, është zbardhur vetëm tentativa e djegies se shtëpisë se policit rrugor, ngjarje qe ndodhi për shkak te detyrës. Te gjitha atentatet e tjera, përfshirë dhe ekzekutimin mafioz te gjyqtarit Konomi qe dyshohet për konflikte pronësie, nuk ka ende një autor.
