Kryeministri i Kosovës Hashim Thaçi ka hedhur poshtë zërat se Kosova do te përfaqësohet ne konferencat rajonale pa termin "Republike". Një gjë te tille e kishte pranuar një dite me pare kryenegociatorja e bisedimeve mes Prishtinës dhe Beogradit Edita Tahiri, ne një interviste për te përditshmen "Koha Ditore".
Sipas burimeve te gazetës, Kosova dhe Serbia do te arrijnë gjate muajit shkurt një marrëveshje ku do te përcaktohet mënyra sesi Kosova do te përfaqësohet ne konferencat rajonale , te cilat ne pjesën me te madhe te rasteve ku ka qene prezentë Serbia janë shoqëruar me debate apo me largimin e palës serbe. Kosova ne këtë marrëveshje mësohet se ka hequr dore nga termi "Republike", ndërsa Serbia nga fjalët " Rezoluta 1244".Kreu i qeverise Kosovare theksoi se ka marre mbështetje nga grupi ndërkombëtar qe brenda vitit 2012 te përfundoje pavarësia e mbikëqyrur për Kosovën. Një nga prioritet e qeverise kosovare këtë vit është dhe anëtarësimi ne Bankën Evropiane për Rindërtim dhe Zhvillim.
