Vendi ynë është i ekspozuar nga kriza e globale financiare madje gjate 2012 parashikohet qe efekte negative nga eurozona te shtohen. Alarmin e ka dhëne Banka Botërore, ne një raport te fundit te saj, e cila ka renditur një sere shtetet kur përfshihet edhe Shqipëria si vendet, qe duhet te përgatiten për një rënie te mëtejshme ekonomike. Parashikimet e bankës nuk janë inkurajuese. Sipas saj ne 2012 ekonomia shqiptare do te rritet vetëm 2, ndërsa qeveria parashikon 4 %. Vendet e rajonit do te goditen për shkak te dobësimit te lidhjeve te tyre me shtet e Evropës, me te cilat kane edhe shkëmbimet tregtare. Sipas Bankës Botërore pritet te përkeqësohet situata për vendet si Rumania, Letonia, por edhe Shqipëria, Maqedonia dhe Bullgaria, ndaj Shqipëria është përfshire ne listën e shteteve qe kane nevoje për financim nga Banka Botërore. Raporti evidenton se Banka Evropiane e rriten me shpejtësi praninë e tyre ne vendet ne zhvillim dhe tani vlera e borxheve qe ato kane arrin ne 2.4 trilion $. Këto borxhe përbejnë rrezik kur kalojnë 25% te prodhimit te brendshëm. Ne rastin e Shqipërisë, borxhi i ka kaluar 60%, ndaj sipas bankës, kjo situate mund te ndikoje ne kreditimin e brendshëm, tërheqjen e investitorëve, por edhe koston e huamarrjes. E nëse kreditimi global ngrin, kompanitë me një nivel te larte borxhi qe punojnë ne Shqipëri mund te detyrohen te mbyllin edhe aktivitetin. Duke ju referuar raportit, vendet qe kane qene ne recesion gjate 2008-20012 do ta kenë edhe me te vështire kapërcimin e kësaj situate. Për shtetet ne zhvillim kjo situate do te jete edhe me e lehte. Por ne rastin e Shqipërisë pozicioni fiskal i saj është përkeqësuar, çka e bën te ardhmen me te zymte e te pasigurt.
