Shteti malazez ndalon shqiptaret te përdorin flamurin apo simbolet e tyre kombëtare, duke i penalizuar me gjoba dhe burg. Ligji i miratuar ne 26 dhjetor te vitit qe lame pas me propozim te komisionit për rendin dhe qetësinë publike, kundërshtohet ashpër nga deputetet e partive shqiptare. Sipas nenit 23 te këtij ligji, vendosja e një flamuri apo simboli tjetër jo i shtetit malazez ne vende publike do ti kushtoje një qytetari te thjeshte deri ne një mije euro gjobe apo 60 dite burg, ndërsa një subjekti juridik deri ne 5 mije euro gjobe. Edhe nënkryetari i partisë Forca e Re Shqiptare, njëherësh deputet ne parlamentin malazez Genci Nimanbegu, thekson se ky ligj e kthen prapa vendin ne kohe dhe është shume diskriminues për pakicat. Deputetet shqiptare e ngrëne zërin edhe për grabitjen qe sipas tyre, po u behet tokave shqiptare, duke kërkuar si zgjidhje te vetme për këtë problem kthimin e Komunës se Tuzit nga komune urbane, ne komune me status te plote te pavarur nga Podgorica. Ne Mal te Zi, sipas regjistrimit te fundit, shqiptaret përbejnë 6.7 për qind te popullsisë, ose rreth 31 mije persona.
