Ministri i Brendshëm i Kosovës Bajram Rexhepi deklaron se ndihmat ruse për serbët e veriut i shërbejnë forcimit të barrikadave. Rexhepi tha për radion Evropa e Lirë se kamionët rusë nuk kishin vetëm ndihma humanitare, por do të shërbejnë për përforcimin e barrikadave të vendosura nga serbët lokalë. Ministri Rexhepi tha gjithashtu se nëse ndihmat do të kishin karakter humanitar, do të shpërndaheshin edhe në vendet e tjera të Kosovës, ku ka banorë serbë. "Ky ka qenë një vendim politik i tyre për arsye se në veri nuk ka krizë humanitare. Përmbajtja e ndihmave u shërben serbëve të veriut për të qëndruar në barrikada", tha Rexhepi. Ndërkohë, ambasadori i Rusisë në Beograd, Aleksandër Konuzin akuzoi EULEX-in se e ka ndaluar për dy ditë autokolonën me ndihmat për serbët e veriut, vetëm për motive politike. Konuzin, i cili shoqëronte dërgatën ruse, tha se serbët e Leposaviçit dhe zonave të tjera të veriut të Kosovës, po vuajnë mungesën e energjisë elektrike dhe produkteve të nevojshme për jetesën. Konuzin tha se EULEX ka tejkaluar kompetencat dhe se është përpjekur të zbatojë planin Ahtisaari në veri të Kosovës, pavarësisht se ky plan nuk është miratuar nga Këshilli i Sigurimit të OKB-së.
