Ende asnjë gjurme nga 8 marinarët e zhdukur pak dite me pare ne ujërat e detit Adriatik. Anija ushtarake "Barbarosa" e ardhur enkas nga Turqia për kërkime te specializuara ne sipërfaqe dhe thellësi, nuk ka gjetur asnjë nga trupat e zhdukur te marinarëve.
Pas dy dite kërkimesh 20 milje larg portit, ne vendin ku ndodhi përplasja, anija "Barbarosa" është kthyer mëngjesin e se dielës ne portin e Durrësit. Te vetmet objekte te gjetura nga kërkimet kane qene disa pajisje qe përdoreshin ne anije. 5 dite me pare ne ujërat ndërkombëtare, 20 milje larg portit te Durrësit anija tregtare turke "Reina 1" u përplas me tragetin "Ankara" te linjës Bari-Durrës. Tragjedisë arriti ti mbijetonte vetëm kapiteni i anijes dhe ndihmësi i tij. Ndërprerja e kërkimeve, te paktën për momentin ka shuar shpresat për gjetjen e 8 trupave te zhdukur te marinarëve.
