Pavarësisht presioneve te Serbisë se do te gjobiten me 500 euro nëse nuk pranojnë te regjistrohen, shqiptaret e Luginës se Preshevës janë te vendosur për ta bojkotuar këtë proces.
Këtë e ka konfirmuar ne një interviste për "Vizon Plus" kryetari i komunës se Preshevës, Ragmi Mustafa. Shqiptaret e komunave te Preshevës, Medvegjes dhe te Bujanovcit nuk do te regjistrohen për shkak se listat nuk do te jene ne gjuhen shqipe, si dhe për faktin qe ne komisionet regjistruese ka shume pak shqiptare por edhe ata janë larguar se fundmi. Një nga problemet kryesore te regjistrimit te popullsisë ne Serbi është se ku proces do te kryhet sipas konceptit te popullsisë se pranishme dhe ajo sipas atij te përhershëm. Kjo do te thotë se do te regjistrohen vetëm ata persona te cilët gjenden ne territorin e Serbisë ne atë moment kur kryhet regjistrimi, pra nuk do te jene pjese emigrantet e shumte shqiptare, por edhe ata të zhvendosur drejt Kosovës prej vitesh. Përfaqësuesit e partive politike shqiptare shprehen se kjo mënyrë e regjistrimit te popullsisë se Serbisë synon minimizimin e shqiptareve qe banojnë ne jug te saj. Përfaqësues te Serbisë kane paralajmëruar se do te kryejnë regjistrimin edhe ne veri te Kosovës, ku vetë Kosova nuk mundi te regjistronte asnjë banor, për shkak se serbet e veriut nuk i njohin institucionet e shtetit te pavarur. Por një gjë e tille është hedhur poshtë nga udhëheqësja e komisionit te regjistrimit te popullsisë se Serbisë, Liljana Gjeorgjevic.
