Qur'an and the other Revealed Books

• Allah says: "We have, without doubt, sent down the message; and We will assuredly guard it (from corruption)". Out of 315 revealed books we discuss here four books in their chronological order.
• Torah was revealed unto Prophet Moses (A.S.). It derives its name from a chapter in it, entitled: Law, which in Hebrew is called Torah. Jewish scholars do not have any claim that it is the same Torah which was handed over to Moses (A.S.) as it contains a good deal of details of the events which took place after death of Moses (A.S.).
• Zubur (means a book) was revealed unto Prophet Dawud (A.S.). The book is not extant except Psalms in holy Bible. Dawud (A.S.) has no ummah to follow him.
• Injil / Gospels, the word Injil means: good news. Holy Christ (A.S.) did not make arrangements to get the message of Allah, revealed unto him, recorded in written form. The Church, out of many Gospels, declared the Gospels of John, Marks, Luke and Mathew as authentic. However the historians differ about the time of their compilation. In 1993 C.E, The Jesus Seminar (a Christian organization of The United States) managed to publish Five Gospels including Gospel of Thomas. This work was published by Macmillan Publishers from New York with a critical study of the texts of Gospels with concluding remarks that what is ascribed to Holy Christ in Gospels eighty percent of it cannot be ascribed to him.
• Qur'an means a book which is widely read. It was written in the life time of Muhammad (P.B.U.H.); presented to him and memorized by a large number of his companions. However it was compiled in a book form just after death of Muhammad (P.B.U.H.). The Prophet himself fixed the position of verses in surahs and made the arrangement of surahs in the book. In 1933 C.E. the Munich University, Germany established a Qur'anic Archive and collected 4200 copies of the Qur'an scribed or printed in 1400 years. After collation of the available copies of the Qur'an no textual difference was found.
• Surely Allah has saved and preserved this book from adulterations and corruption.
