Looking at the cold, hard numbers, Joey Logano finished the Eliminator Round of the NASCAR Chase for the Sprint Cup in last place among the eight drivers who were still Chase eligible.
When a rain shower ended the already delayed Quicken Loans 500 at Phoenix International Raceway after 219 of the scheduled 312 laps, Logano's Team Penske Ford sat in third place.
It was a decent enough result for sure, but when coupled with Logano's disastrous finishes in the first two races of the Eliminator Round, only a victory at PIR would have been enough to put him among the four drivers who will compete in the Championship Round at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Sunday.
