Judge dismisses $42M copyright lawsuit against Taylor Swift

Pop megastar Taylor Swift is officially out of the woods with a copyright infringement lawsuit, thanks to a judge who appears to be a big fan.
United States District Court Judge Gail Standish took a page out of Swift's songbook in her dismissal of R&B singer Jesse Braham's $42 million lawsuit, which alleged Swift's 2014 hit "Shake It Off" had stolen key phrases from his 2013 slow-jam "Haters Gone Hate," CNN reported Thursday.
"At present, the Court is not saying that Braham can never, ever, ever get his case back in court.
But, for now, we have got problems, and the Court is not sure Braham can solve them," Standish wrote Tuesday, alternately quoting Swift's hit songs "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" and "Bad Blood."
