Uber drivers may soon have an easier time locating you.
Months after it dropped out of the bidding for Nokia's Here mapping business , Uber has struck a deal with navigation firm TomTom to beef up its drivers' maps.
In a news release, the companies said the global, multi-year agreement will "ensure Uber has a seamless navigation experience, accurate arrival times, and efficient journeys in more than 300 cities around the world."
Also on the Uber mapping front, the app-based car service recently told PCMag it has been driving red SUVs for the past several months collecting imagery to help improve its routing and ETA calculations.
