Securing the seventh Super Bowl title in franchise history was always going to be an uphill battle for the 2015 Pittsburgh Steelers, but the loss of All-Pro RB Le’Veon Bell has pushed those odds even further.
Just a few weeks ago, the Steelers faced 20/1 odds to win their seventh Lombardi Trophy.
As of today, those odds have been pushed to 33/1, according to Bovada.
Since these are future odds, the loss of Bell is directly attributable to Pittsburgh’s slide in the Las Vegas ratings.
The 33/1 odds for Pittsburgh (4-4) are tied for the 10th-best odds in the NFL with Minnesota (5-2) and Dallas (2-5).
The Patriots are the favorite with 2.6/1 odds with Green Bay, Arizona, Denver and Carolina rounding out the top five.
