Kate Winslet has banned all forms of social media in her house, saying that it leads to issues like "eating disorders."
The Oscar-winning actress - who is mother to daughter Mia, 15, and sons Joe, 11, and Bear, 22 months - revealed that she and husband Ned Rocknroll have a "no social media" policy in their home and are trying to cut down on the family's usage of phones and tablet devices.
"It has a huge impact on young women's self-esteem, because all they ever do is design themselves for people to like them," the 40-year-old said in an interview with the Sunday Times.
"And what comes along with that?
Eating disorders.
And that makes my blood boil.
And is the reason we don't have any social media in our house."
Winslet, who co-stars in the new Steve Jobs film alongside Michael Fassbender, said parents should be taking mobile devices away from their children.
