In October, security forces at the service of big landowners evicted four campesino communities from their lands in Honduras. This affected more than 500 citizens who lost everything, Leaders of the El Palomar community in the state of Choluteca and the Montañuela community in the state of Olancho described the violent attacks against everyone, including elders and children. During the Agrarian Reform, the government gave 400,000 hectares of land to campesino groups, but now most of the lands are being taken over by big landowners.
