Minhaj Welfare: Pakistan & Afghanistan Earthquake 2015

2015-10-27 1,946

A major earthquake hit Afghanistan, Northern Pakistan and parts of India on 26.10.2015, with death tolls increasing to more than 300 and early reports suggesting it has caused extensive damage in mountainous areas.

The magnitude 8.1 quake was centred in the province of Badakhshan in the Hindu Kush mountain range in Afghanistan’s far north, and occurred at a depth of 130 miles (210km).

Minhaj Welfare Foundation has launched an Emergency Appeal to help those affected by the earthquake. We are appealing for donations to assist in emergency relief; by providing temporary shelter, food and water and medical care to thousands of people affected.
