Foothills Grouse

In the foothills of the Rockies are found four very different species of grouse: the Sage Grouse is found in the high plains basins; its cousin, the Sharptail Grouse, occupies the foothill ridges; the Blue Grouse, and Ruffed Grouse roam the forests. Each species has its own distinctive method of courtship. Close-up photography and dynamic sound effects take you to the little-seen or heard world of these fascinating birds.
