Florida’s bear hunting season was originally set to last a week; however, after only two days, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission called for a complete shutdown.
Three years ago, the Florida black bear was taken off of the threatened species list, and officials recently reinstated the legal hunting of the animals.
