This is the first test ride of my Quest velomobile equipped with a Cyclone e-assist kit. The video also shows the installation, and how it works.
The motor is installed on the left-hand side and drives a left-hand side chainwheel through a secondary chain. That way, I can keep a completely normal drivetrain on the right-hand side - particularly the 3 chainrings - so I can use the bike without the motor in my hilly area.
I've just completed the basic installation. Eventually, I'll install a second front derailleur to derail the chain off the left-hand side chainwheel and completely isolate the motor and secondary chain, so I don't have to hear the motor's freewheel going clickety-click when I ride without e-assist.
