Selena Gomez isn't quite ready to talk about her lupus diagnosis.
The 23-year-old singer/actress appeared on the Today show Monday morning to perform songs from her new album Revival.
When asked about her battle with lupus, she demurred: "To be honest, it still kind of makes me a little uncomfortable to talk about."
Gomez recently revealed to Billboard magazine that during her time away from the spotlight, she was undergoing chemotherapy for the autoimmune disease.
During a chat with Today's Matt Lauer and Hoda Kotb on Monday, Gomez spoke of her decision to share her personal story.
"I feel I'm able to reach my fans and understand people when I am one-on-one with them, and they're kind of dealing with the same thing," the "Same Old Love" singer said.
"So, I'm just trying to take something that maybe is negative and turn it into a positive."
