Barney Fife , Mayberry's Deputy Sheriff is well loved in spite of himself. His job is in jeapardy. He is one inch too short as per regulations. So handy Andy finds a solution. A stretching devise. A bit midevil, but Barney is desperate. Of course it's funny. Barney is a novice sheriff but a master comedian.
