Britain Rejects Paying Slavery Reparations to Jamaica

In a visit to Jamaica, British Prime Minister David Cameron said London would not make slavery reparations to the country. He said it was time for the Caribbean nations to "move on". Ahead of Cameron's trip, the issue of reparations had been raised by Sir Hilary Beckles, chair of the Caribbean Community Reparations Commission. During his visit Cameron announced plans for 360 million pounds in investment for the Caribbean, including 300 million pounds earmarked for an infrastructure fund. teleSUR
