Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) said on Monday he cannot support the group of legislators attempting to shut down the government because of what it means for Arizona commerce and the nation's veterans.

“I'll continue to argue for (a common Republican agenda) and try to be respectful of the views of others but I also share John Boehner's view," McCain said during an appearance on MSNBC's "Morning Joe." "I don't want to shut down the Grand Canyon again. I don't want to shut down the Veterans Administration. There's enough problems there without that so I hope we can find a way through this.”
