Their sale in India is currently being reviewed by the Supreme Court, but that does not stop them from being sold abroad. We are talking about the very unique Bajaj Qute here, which has been launched globally at a price of 2000 USD.
Called a quadricycle, the Bajaj Qute is powered by 216cc, water-cooled, four-valve triple Spark petrol engine. The engine is mated to a five-speed gearbox as well as a closed loop fuel-injection system. The engine is capable of delivering a peak power of 13.5PS and a peak torque of 19.6Nm. The car comes with a top speed of 70kmph and a fuel-efficiency figure of more than 35kmpl. It is being said that the quadricycle meets Euro 3 emission norms and has a low CO2 emission of 66g/km.
The Qute has already been granted certification in Europe by WVTA based in Netherlands. So now the Qute can be exported to countries in Europe, Asia and Latin America.
