Yesterday's signing of an accord between the Colombian government and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) on justice and compensation for victims of the five-decade armed conflict was enthusiastically welcomed in Colombia. Victims and their family members on both sides of the conflict hailed the agreement and the 6-month deadline for reaching a final settlement.
