As part of a U.S. move to open up trade with Cuba, the U.S. Treasury has issued new regulations on travel, telecommunications, business banking and remittances. The U.S. will now be able to open up offices, stores, warehouses in Cuba, as well as to initiate internet services between the two nations. White House spokesman Josh Earnest said the goal is to deepen U.S. engagement with the Cuban people, whileTed Pickering of the Brookings Institute said the new steps remove U.S. obstacles to business involvement.
