This is what I call speed pull ups. Not perfect form, not full range, but just knocking them out very quick. 55 is the most I’ve ever done as far as speed pull ups are concerned. I have another test called full range pull ups where I clean up the form for the test. But for this one, you are allowed to have a bend in the elbow when you lower and raise back up so that you can keep the momentum going. At the end of your reps, you can bring your knees up to get some more reps in. You can even change grips, you just can't touch the ground, once you touch the ground, the set is over. Even though the form is not like the full range pull up, doing 55 of these is not easy, not sure if I’ll be able to top that one.
