Syed Javaid Anwar originally of Karachi, Pakistan, was raised by a single mother.After finishing high school, he moved to the United States where he put himself through college at the University of Wyoming. Upon earning a degree in Petroleum Engineering, he worked with different oil companies in Midland, Amarillo, Houston and Pampa, Texas.
