If Floyd Mayweather is really ending his career Saturday night, as he promised, he went out in style in the building he calls home.
In front of a partisan Mayweather crowd of 13,395 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, where the man nicknamed "Money" has fought his last 12 fights, Mayweather put on a masterful performance, showing the quickness that is his trademark, and making his overmatched opponent miss throughout the fight.
With his victory, Mayweather tied Rocky Marciano's longstanding record for retiring undefeated at 49-0.
Afterward, Mayweather reiterated his promise to call it quits.
"I've been in this sport for 19 years, champion for 18, and you gotta know when enough is enough," he said.
