As the Malaysian stock market continues to roil in response to the stunning results of the weekend's elections, PKR de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim today assured investors of his coalition's free-market stance and cautioned the BN to put the economy ahead of its own political dilemmas.
"Let me caution them: whatever is the political problem -- the infighting -- they should not sacrifice the economy and the public," he said. "I may be the opposition. I will not do anything to disrupt the economic performance of this country."
