Hurricane Linda Looms Off Baja Coast

Hurricane Linda churned about 300 km off the tip of Baja California on Tuesday, September 8, close enough for dangerous surfs to slam the shore. The National Hurricane Center said the winds and surf conditions would head north up the coast as the hurricane moved north and that some parts may see tropical storm force winds. This time-lapse footage shows the change in conditions in Cabo San Lucas during the day on Tuesday.

Currently a Category 3 storm, Linda is expected to begin to weaken late Wednesday, and by late Thursday begin a westward turn away from the coast. Credit: YouTube/webcamsdemexico
