Follow the music, admire the art, place yourself inside historic architecture, in Telesur's "Cultura Latina". This week, host Mauricio Izquierdo treats us to culinary flavors in Peru and Honduras. We learn how to make several traditional desserts, including “picarones,” which are traditional Peruvian doughnuts containing squash, sweet potatoes and anise seed. Then moving on to Honduras, we taste some delicious dishes that have managed to survive the foreign fast-food invasion, including the popular “baleadas,” made of a wheat-flour tortilla filled with butter and beans. teleSUR
