Honduras is a dangerous country for journalists and human rights advocates, according to the Center for Justice and International Law. In a visit to Honduras, the group reported that although Honduran law mandates an immediate investigation in cases of attacks on journalists and human rights defenders, in practice impunity has prevailed and only 2% have resulted in a court verdict. In the past decade 40 journalists have been killed and in none of the cases was an investigation launched. Gerardo Torres reports from Tegucigalpa. teleSUR
