Ahmedabad: Shwetang, a 32-year-old youth of the Patel community died of bruises allegedly inflicted by police. Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti leader Hardik Patel visited Shwetang’s house and asked his sister to tie a rakhi. Shwetang's sister Palak said: “I was overwhelmed. I just couldn’t say anything to Hardik and started crying. I didn’t approach him. He asked me to tie a rakhi. He said from now on ‘consider me your brother’.”
