The European Space Agency recently released an image taken by the Hubble Space Telescope of the Twin Jet Nebula which shows butterfly wing-like colorful lobes emerging from a bright binary star center.
The image of a cosmic butterfly has been captured by the Hubble Space Telescope.
Most commonly known as the Twin Jet Nebula, it has two shimmering lobes that contain streams of gas shooting out from the bright nucleus at more than 620,000 miles an hour.
At the center is the likely cause of the winged shaped--two stars which make up a binary system.
Scientists believe a white dwarf star circles a dying star which has shed its outer layers and is currently illuminating that material.
