A video has emerged of a huge firework exploding unexpectedly outside a home in California, setting off car alarms and sending people running for cover.
The footage, captured during Fourth of July celebrations this year, shows a man lighting the Chinese "Artillery Shell" which instead of shooting into the air, bursts into flame and explodes with an enormous bang, closer to that of a bomb than a firework.
Fortunately, nobody was injured in the blast.
