An unusual video has emerged from China of a group of villagers grabbing spilled pears after a truck carrying them crashed on a highway.
In the footage, captured in Jiangxi Province on Tuesday, locals can be seen grabbing the fruit and piling some into large bags - despite warnings from the police.
According to local reports the truck rolled over and spilled ten tonnes of pears onto the road after accidentally hitting crash barriers. The crowd picked at the fruit for five hours before being dispersed by police. The driver escaped injury in the crash.
