2015-08-25 7

Senegalese immigrants living in Buenos Aires have denounced persecution by the city’s police force and institutionalized racism by police officers and the Judiciary. They charge that they have been subjected to frequent raids and police abuse. Some local legislators have agreed to demand that the city government, led by the right-wing PRO party, put an end to racist police conduct. Members of the National Human Rights Secretariat have vowed to fight any form of discrimination against Senegalese workers. Laureano Ponce reports from Buenos Aires for teleSUR.
